ZooTunes | Concert Production
Production Manager

The Event
ZooTunes is a summer concert series held at a 4,000-capacity outdoor venue on zoo grounds, where sold-out audiences watch international touring artists in a setting unlike any other. Producing a show in a working zoo means balancing the needs of a major live event with the needs of an active animal safety and guest-services operation.

My Role
I oversee production for each concert from first planning meeting to final wrap, serving as the connective point between artists, their management, zoo operations, and internal teams. With touring crews on tight schedules, zoo operations running alongside the event, and thousands of guests arriving at once, I keep every team working from the same information and resolve issues in real time on show day. My scope includes:

Show advancement: coordinating technical, hospitality, and schedule needs with touring artists and their management

Site & staging: staging, load-in, and event-day flow within a unique outdoor venue

Safety & access: security planning, credentials, and staffing

Logistics: vendors, transportation, and day-of office operations

Artist & guest experience: hospitality for artists and a smooth arrival-to-exit experience for guests
